Flying from Malaysia’s low-cost carrier terminal? klia2 has several car parks at very different prices, and picking the right one can save you a lot – especially on a multi-day trip. This 2026 guide breaks down every option, the current rates, and the cheapest ways to park.

About KLIA2

Kuala Lumpur International Airport Terminal 2 (klia2) is the low-cost carrier terminal in Sepang, about 45 km south of the city, home to AirAsia and other budget airlines. It’s directly connected to the Gateway@klia2 mall, and shares a Long-Term Car Park with the main terminal (KLIA Terminal 1).

Your parking options at KLIA2

1) Gateway@KLIA2 (short-term)

Multi-level covered parking linked to the terminal through the Gateway@klia2 mall – roughly 6,000 bays plus valet at Level 3. Best for pickups, drop-offs and short stays.

2) Long-Term Car Park (LTCP)

Which car park should you use?

Quick pickup or a few hours: Gateway@KLIA2 short-term – closest to the terminal.
Overnight or multi-day: the LTCP (max RM32/day) beats Gateway (RM55/day) easily, and the free shuttle runs every ~15 minutes.

Cheaper alternatives: park & ride

If you’d rather not pay airport rates at all, park at a KLIA Transit / Ekspres station and take the train in:

Salak Tinggi Park & Ride – one KLIA Transit stop from the airport, from ~RM3/day.
Putrajaya Sentral, KL Sentral and TBS also connect to klia2 via KLIA Transit/Ekspres.

How to pay

Gateway@klia2 accepts Touch ‘n Go, TnG RFID, DuitNow QR, contactless cards and cash (autopay machines on levels 1, 4 and 7). Contactless card taps may place a temporary pre-authorisation hold – not an overcharge.
